MITCH BUCKLAND BACK FROM INACTIVITY

Cardiff’s Mitchel Buckland (6-0, 1KO) returns from nine months inactivity on Saturday and he’s eager to make up for lost time. The 20-year-old will fight Oxford’s Daza Usher (6-1, 1KO) on the undercard of Matchroom Sport’s ‘The Second Coming’ show at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena. Buckland hasn’t fought since capturing the Celtic title with a Unanimous Decision points win over Craig Woodruff at the Newport Centre over. Buckland is yet to fight in his home city of Cardiff and he will be joined by fellow St Joseph’s boxers Lee Selby, Robbie Turley and of course, his older brother Gary Buckland. It will be an important night for the Buckland family with elder brother Gary facing Gavin Rees in a rematch of February’s Fight of the Year contender. Mitchell, younger than Gary by seven years, admits that it is difficult to watch his brother in such tough fights. Scroll down to watch the full video interview:
