This week’s weigh-in news…

It’s a busy weekend for Welsh boxing with fighters in action all across Britain and it all begins with the weigh-ins. On Thursday, Welsh champion Dai Davies (10-23-2, 1KO) will weigh-in for the defence of his title against challenger Robbie Turley (13-4, 3KO), a rematch of their original fight five years ago. The weigh-in for Sanigar Events’ ‘Repeat Or Revenge’ show will be held at the Bessemer Hotel (CF48 3DP) in Merthyr Tydfil. Doors will open to the public at 5:30pm. Then on Friday, Gary Buckland (28-4, 9KO) will come face-to-face with African banger Richard Commey (17-0, 17KO) at the weigh-in for their Commonwealth lightweight title fight. The headliner to Steve Goodwin’s ‘Azonto Time’ show will weigh-in at the SW Gym (IG10 3TS) in Sterling House, Essex. It is scheduled to begin at 1.15pm and it is open to the public. Matchroom Sport are ye to announce weigh-in details for their ‘Collision Course’ show at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on Saturday. The event features Cefn Fforest’s former world champion Nathan Cleverly (27-1, 13KO), who tackles Argentina’s Alejandro Emilio Valori (15-4, 11KO), and Newport’s Craig Woodruff (5-3, 2KO), who faces Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell (5-0, 4KO).
