VIDEO – Lee Selby: I’d be a local hero in Barry if I won the world title

‘Sugar’ Lee Selby (20-1, 8KO) spent Saturday afternoon showing off his skills in his hometown as hundreds packed King’s Square in Barry Town to see the featherweight before his IBF title bid on 30 May. Should Selby beat Russia’s undefeated Evgeny Gradovich (19-0-1, 9KO), who this week won IBF ‘Boxer of the Year’, at London’s O2 Arena then he will become Wales’ 12th ever world champion and Barry’s first. After completing padwork and shadow boxing in the seaside sunshine, Selby spoke to BoxingWales.com about what a win would mean for his hometown of Barry. Sky Sports Box Office will show ‘Rule Britannia’ exclusively live this Saturday. Buy now at www.skysports.com/brookgavin
