EVANS ENTERS NEW CHAPTER
Carmarthen’s Dale Evans (8-1-1, 3KO) is one of the most exciting prospects in British boxing and BoxingWales caught up with the 22-year-old power puncher as he stands on the edge of a new chapter in his career.
Until three weeks ago, Evans scheduled his training around his day job in a factory where he worked more than 40 hours a week making uPVC windows and doors. However, after ten professional fight, Evans has given up his day job so that he can focus on boxing full time.
The transition comes after Evans’ best career win, an eight round points decision over Eric Ochieng in February which was shown live on Sky Sports. He will next face Mark Douglas (9-4, 4KO) on May 17th at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena as part of Matchroom Sport’s ‘The Second Coming’ show.
In an extensive interview with BoxingWales, ‘Big Boy’ spoke about all this, his chase for a British title challenge and more. Scroll down to watch the full video interview.
